This project asks what it takes to get young people (between 15-25 years old) to actively engage with existing museum exhibitions. It is designed as a qualitative investigation of the activities and social organizations that the youth is engaged in, the experiences they appreciate, and the issues and themes that capture their attention. From this investigation, the project develops a series of co-creative ’pop-up exhibitions’ based on the experiences and life trajectories of the youth. This leads to concrete and immediately applicable proposals for new exhibition formats, which appeal to a young museum audience.
