The art-based interventions in the project ’The Kiss’ inform the development of physical prototypes for the relationship between associational life and the built environment in Taastrupgaard. This art-based process has resulted in the development of ’The Recycling Collective’ as a concrete prototype. It posits that recycling and waste management may productively serve as a basis for new forms of associational life in Taastrupgaard. Hence, in a central public square in Taastrupgaard, we build a physical prototypical structure entitled ’The Recycling Collective’. With local residents we investigate here the significance of recycling and experiment with new forms of organisational formats around this central theme. Over time, the Recycling Collective will serve as a repository and storage facility not just for physical objects and things but also for memories and other immaterial things that residents find valuable and important.
