CiNC – Conservation in the Nineteenth Century
13-15 May 2013, Copenhagen – The National Museum of Denmark
The nineteenth century is a very interesting period in conservation history. We see a strong influence of artist restorers in the treatment of works of art, but also the first contributions of scientists in the examination and treatment of some objects. This conference will focus on the events, persons and ideas that played important roles in the formation of the conservation profession. Conference proceedings will be published in a hard cover volume by Archetype Publications and distributed to delegates on opening of the conference.
