The National Museum is Denmark’s largest museum of cultural history. The museum's main building is an 18th century classical mansion, just a stone's throw from "Strøget" in the centre of Copenhagen.
The National Museum is the museum for Denmark, where you can follow the history of the Danes right up until the present day. You can also take a trip around the world, from Greenland to South America.
Temporary exhibition, National Museum of Denmark Copenhagen 04.10.14 – 22.02.15
In 2014 the National Museum of Denmark opens a major temporary exhibition on fur clothing. The exhibition includes historical and contemporary fur garments from the northern hemisphere, but also represents a forum for current debates on fur, exploring the ethical issues of farming or hunting wild animals to use their coat as clothing.
